Morning Circle Time - JKs participated in our circle time where the special helper put the number on the calendar and counted, checked if Johnny had the proper outfit for the today's weather, added a popcorn to our 100th day of school counting and as a class we sang our calendar songs.
Snacks - JKs were encouraged to eat their healthy snacks.

Jolly Phonics - we sang the jolly phonics song for the letter S and made a list of words that begins with S.
Recess and lunch
Daily Five - we used the dry erase boards to write our names and practice the uppercase and lowercase S. We also use stickers to glue to on uppercase and lowercase S.
Reading buddies - JKs met their Gr. 5's reading buddies. The reading buddies come to our class on day 6. They read with the JKs. :) It is a great way to build school community and the Gr. 5s role model good reading skills to the JKs.
Math - today we worked on numbers 1-5. JKs practiced not only their counting skills but hand-eye coordination by holding the scissors properly and cutting on the lines.
Recess and lunch
UOI - today we introduced our unit of inquiry on healthy bodies. We completed this chart by sharing what do we know about healthy foods.
