Morning Circle Time - JKs participated in our circle time where the special helper put the number on the calendar and counted, checked if Johnny had the proper outfit for the today's weather and as a class we sang our calendar/morning songs. Today is Monday, so we had our sharing time. JKs shared what they did over the weekend.
Snacks - JKs were encouraged to eat their healthy snacks.

Jolly Phonics – we reviewed the letters learned so far and sang our new jolly phonics song for the week which is letter Y. We also watched this short video about the letter Y: https://youtu.be/4EwfoeZtazI

Math/Language Arts/UOI – today we sorted pictures of different types of transportation and put them in our class board. JKs learned new names of transportation and sorted them into land, air and sea.

Math – in math we continued with our morning activity about transportation. JKs cut and paste the different modes of transportation into the correct category.
Recess and Lunch
Centers – during centers time, JKs use their creativity while developing their imagination; they also develop emotionally and cognitively. Centers time promotes social learning and support students as they develop skills of self-regulation. At the end of the day we also talked about vowels and its sounds.
