Morning Circle Time - JKs participated in our circle time where the special helper put the number on the calendar and counted, checked if Johnny had the proper outfit for the today's weather, added a popcorn to our 100th day of school counting and as a class we sang our calendar songs.
Snacks - JKs were encouraged to eat their healthy snacks.

Recess and lunch
Language Arts/UOI – as we have been talking about apples and healthy eating, we prepared a healthy snack using the apples we collected at the apple farm. JKs were encouraged to be risk-takers and try a bite! :)

Math – in math we completed an activity where JKs practiced their 1:1 correspondence by placing the math counters on the apples on their paper and then writing the correspondent number. One on one correspondence is such an important concept for young children to learn and is a precursor to almost every numeracy concept they will ever encounter.
