Happy Kindness Day!

We had a fantastic day!
Morning Circle Time - JKs participated in our circle time where the special helper put the number on the calendar and counted, checked if Johnny had the proper outfit for the today's weather, added a popcorn to our 100th day of school counting and as a class we sang our calendar songs.
Snacks - JKs were encouraged to eat their healthy snacks.
Gym Class - please visit Ms. Yustin's blog: http://sjaayustin.blogspot.com/
Kindness  Day Activity – we talked about ways we show kindness and completed an activity titled: One Small Act Of Kindness. JKs told myself and Ms. Rapan what they wanted to write on their paper hand and then they decorated.

Later a gr. 5 student read us a book about kindness.

Language Arts/Fine Motor Activity/Daily Five (work on letters and words) – today we used play dough to form the letter R. Then as an extended activity for the early finishers we also formed words that begin with R.
Math – in math we completed a cut and paste activity where JKs sorted pictures by pasting them in the correct category.
